Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

: T rain and support the development of heavy equipment operators for continued safety, productivity, and quality in the field •This individual's home base will be in Shippingport, PA, supporting a local construction project.•

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide training to new operators to develop and improve their equipment operation skills and add value to their trade. Work with experienced operators to keep their equipment operating skills and training up-to-date and maintain their awareness of new techniques and methods Develop and maintain good working relationships with all operators, mechanics, superintendents, and management to facilitate effective communication and coordination within the field operations. Provide management recommendations regarding the placement of operators to ensure best fit to benefit the company and the operator Inspect equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety procedures. Ensure the operator understands proper equipment processes and bring any deficiencies or concerns to the attention of the proper supervisor. Monitor equipment used to ensure it is operated within its rated capacities Maintain a good working relationship with Local Unions, trade schools, and skilled craft community to find and hire the most qualified operator candidates for Kokosing. Communicate needed repairs to ensure repair in a timely manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum high school diploma with at least five years' experience as an operator in construction industry. Amember in good standing of the Operating Engineers Union.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Basic computer skills Skilled in dirt moving equipment and techniques Knowledgeable in both MSHA and OSHA regulations and guidelines

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license and good driving record

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

: 90% of job duties are performed in the field environment.
