Description The CDL Class A Driver position will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of New Hudson Facades (NHF) related materials, goods, cargo, or any other items transported by truck in support of the business. These freight moves could be intercompany, delivery to job site, or any other freight move as assigned by supervision in the Materials & Logistics department. The driver is accountable to the management team at NHF and reports into the Materials & Logistics organization. The driver position involves operating Class A commercial vehicles, including day cabs, tractors, and flatbed or 53-foot van trailers, in accordance with the employee's specific CDL classification and endorsements. Drivers are expected to understand, maintain, and operate strictly within the limits of their commercial license classification and endorsements while performing all assigned duties and responsibilities. The CDL Class A Driver position will operate a wide variety of vehicles that support the NHF business, its customers, and other departments within the NHF organization. As a Driver, the primary responsibility is to operate a commercial motor vehicle. The role will primarily focus on a dedicated milk-run route, completed multiple times daily, between NHF's Port facility and a New Jersey queuing yard located near the Lincoln Tunnel entrance. In the event that driving-related support is not available or required, it is expected that on a case-by-case basis, supervision may assign the driver other duties that are not specifically driving. Those duties include, but are not limited to forklift operation, loading, and unloading trucks in the yard, assisting in the loading and unloading process, or any other duty as assigned by supervision.
