Job Description
About us Foster Trucking Company, LLC is a Pittsburgh based, construction hauling company. We specialize in the transport and disposal of raw construction materials. We pride ourselves in delivering professional, quality service with experienced, reliable drivers. We are in need of 2 top notch drivers to join our team. At least, three years of Tri-axle Dump Truck experience is mandatory to be considered. Please do not apply if you are not eligible and ready to WORK. Responsibilities Transport construction materials to and from construction sites and manufacturing plants Inspect vehicles for safety/ mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance inspection before & after every trip Report any vehicle defects, accidents or violations immediately Collect and verify delivery instructions Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in a timely fashion Document and log work/rest periods, mileage and all fuel/toll/repair receipts Input "macros" into automated GPS system for each job Comply with the US DOT's truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as FTC's policies and procedures Maneuver trucks safely into loading or unloading positions Qualifications Proven work experience as a Tri-axle truck driver/operator (5 years minimum) Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to operate manual transmission, drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations; must pass driver's license check Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, vehicle malfunction, etc) Valid CDL Class A or B driver license
