Yard Operations Associate -
Overnight Shift Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday Hours:
10:00 PM-7:00AM Position:
Full-Time About the Position We are hiring a dependable Yard Operations Associate to help manage trailer activity at a busy transportation facility. This is an active operations position where you will help keep trailers organized, track equipment throughout the yard, communicate with drivers, and make sure accurate information is provided to the operations team. The position includes a combination of outdoor yard checks and indoor computer/reporting work. What You'll Do- Monitor trailers entering, leaving, and moving throughout the facility.
- Perform routine yard checks and maintain an accurate trailer inventory.
- Track trailer locations, dock assignments, trip numbers, and load status.
- Communicate with drivers regarding trailer assignments and availability.
- Coordinate with operations personnel to support loading and unloading activity.
- Inspect trailers for visible damage or safety concerns.
- Immediately report damaged, unsafe, or out-of-service equipment.
- Help locate missing or misplaced trailers and resolve equipment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer arrivals, departures, and movements.
- Complete end-of-shift trailer counts and operational reports.
