Job Description

PODS is seeking a safety-focused CDL Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you'll operate commercial vehicles to deliver, pick up, and reposition portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. You'll perform DOT-compliant inspections, secure loads, and navigate local routes while prioritizing safety. As a frontline representative of PODS, you'll provide friendly, reliable service and act as a problem-solver at each stop. This position offers hands-on experience in transportation and logistics with opportunities for growth across our nationwide network in a customer-first, team-oriented culture. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle to deliver, pick up, and reposition PODS containers Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT-compliant logs Secure loads and operate lifts or other equipment to ensure safe container handling Follow all DOT, company, and local safety regulations and procedures Provide professional, customer-first service at residential and commercial locations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and issues Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly and assist with basic troubleshooting Support teammates and help maintain a clean, safe work environment Required Skills CDL commercial driving Defensive driving and vehicle control DOT regulations and compliance Pre- and post-trip inspections Load securement and weight distribution Hydraulic/lift-gate operation GPS and route navigation Basic vehicle troubleshooting Customer service and communication Paperwork and electronic log management
