Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves local and regional driving, transporting freight across various states while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Home nightly or one / two nights per week. Our regional drivers and home weekends. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage their time effectively while on the road. 401K with Company Match Fully paid Health Insurance. Paid Holidays Per Diem up to $33 per day Responsibilities Operate a commercial truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport freight over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations. Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing proper techniques to ensure safety and efficiency. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle inspections. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Manage routes effectively to optimize travel time and fuel efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on the road. Experience Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with a focus on over-the-road routes. Familiarity with operating various types of trucks, flat bed trailers. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is required. Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including loading and unloading techniques. Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently while on the road.
