Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm; occasional weekends for emergency jobs Delco Storm & Sewer Services is a trusted name in sewer and stormwater solutions with decades of experience serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients. We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded CDL A Driver/Equipment Operator —to join our growing field operations team. This hybrid role requires a confident professional who can safely operate heavy trucks and various types of earth-moving equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and experienced with excavation and site work.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate 6-wheel and triaxle dump trucks with air brakes. Haul heavy equipment using trailers; secure and transport earth-moving machinery. Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment efficiently. Perform excavation work around utilities, following safe digging practices. Assist in site preparation and pipe laying activities as needed. Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic mechanical checks. Step in with manual labor (e.g., shoveling, grading) to support crew operations. Follow safety protocols, communicate effectively with team members, and maintain a clean and organized work site.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL A license with air brake endorsement (Tanker endorsement is a plus). Proven experience driving 6-wheel and triaxle dump trucks. Experience hauling and loading/unloading equipment trailers. Minimum of 5 years' experience operating excavators ; proficiency with additional equipment like skid steers and loaders. Familiarity with safe excavation practices and ability to dig around active utilities. Site work, plumbing, or pipe laying experience is a strong plus. Willingness to contribute to labor-intensive tasks when needed.
