Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. The Driver will operate various vehicles, including vans and trucks, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of items as required during loading and unloading.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely preparation of shipments. Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in route driving preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is advantageous.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
