Independent Delivery Contractor — 1099 Mims Trucking Company (MTC) Central Arkansas About the Opportunity Mims Trucking Company is expanding its independent contractor network and is looking for reliable drivers with their own vehicle who are interested in flexible local delivery and transportation opportunities. MTC works with businesses and customers throughout Central Arkansas and may offer contractors different types of assignments depending on client demand, vehicle type, service area, availability, and the opportunities currently available.

Assignments may include:

Package delivery Business deliveries Food and meal-prep delivery Floral deliveries Furniture and larger-item delivery Customer pickups and drop-offs Event and party-rental transportation Small moves Haul-offs Local transportation Other MTC delivery and transportation opportunities Compensation $100-$600+ per week in available assignment opportunities, depending on work accepted and completed. Compensation is assignment-based and may be structured per package, per route, per delivery, per job, or another agreed-upon basis depending on the specific opportunity. There are no guaranteed hours, routes, assignments, package counts, or income levels. Each opportunity will have its own compensation and payment terms before the contractor accepts the assignment. Independent Contractor — 1099 This is an independent contractor opportunity, not W-2 employment. Contractors are responsible for their own applicable taxes, insurance, vehicle expenses, fuel, maintenance, equipment, and other business expenses. Contractors may provide services for other businesses and are not required to work exclusively with MTC. Contractors independently determine which opportunities they are available for and may decline opportunities before accepting them. Once an assignment is voluntarily accepted, the contractor is expected to fulfill that commitment unless an emergency or circumstance beyond the contractor's reasonable control prevents completion. Vehicle Requirements Contractors must have reliable transportation appropriate for the assignments they accept. MTC may work with contractors using: Cars SUVs Minivans Pickup trucks Cargo vans Box trucks Other suitable vehicles Vehicle requirements will depend on the specific assignment. Contractors must maintain a valid driver's license, legally required vehicle insurance, registration, and a vehicle suitable for the work they accept. What We're Looking For MTC is looking for contractors who are: Reliable Professional Communicative Dependable Able to follow delivery instructions Comfortable using a smartphone Able to properly document completed work Able to communicate quickly when an issue occurs Capable of safely handling the type of work they accept Delivery experience is helpful but is not the only factor we consider. Reliability and communication are extremely important. How MTC Works Contractors go through a screening and onboarding process before receiving regular assignments. Approved contractors may receive opportunities through MTC's dispatch and operations system. Depending on the opportunity, contractors may be required to provide delivery documentation, photographs, signatures, GPS/location verification, return information, notes, or other proof of completed work.
