Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and customer relationship building will drive our success forward. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving skills with sales and merchandising, all while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver products along designated routes, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols. Manage daily route schedules efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups at multiple retail locations or commercial sites. Conduct heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when loading and unloading merchandise, maintaining proper organization for quick access. Engage with customers professionally to build strong relationships, address inquiries, and promote additional products or services through upselling techniques. Perform routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with transportation safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while adhering to organizational procedures. Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays at client locations and ensuring product presentation aligns with company standards. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving or route driving, preferably within retail or wholesale environments. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and automobile transportation requirements. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and route planning. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes. Experience in sales or upselling is a plus, demonstrating confidence in promoting products or services. Organizational skills to manage multiple stops efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation. Military experience involving logistics or transportation is highly valued for this role.
