Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a local reliable and skilled Flatbed Driver to join our team, with at least 2 years of recent verifiable experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules. The Flat Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities Operate company vans or trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing items as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status. Handle any issues that may arise during transit, including delays or vehicle malfunctions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle. Willing to be OTR Skills Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver, with a strong understanding of truck driving principles. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus. Strong navigation skills with knowledge of local roads and routes. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records. Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
