We are currently looking for a Local CDL Class A Manual Flatbed Driver to join our team in Lexington, SC 29072. This role offers a pay range of $22-$28 per hour with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though hours may fluctuate based on daily volume. During the summer months, shifts may begin as early as 6:00 AM to help our team avoid peak temperatures. We are searching for a reliable, task-focused professional who is ready to handle physical labor and manage multiple local deliveries throughout their shift. Core Duties Collect oversized flatbed shipments from client sites and deliver them to our facility. Transport 11-13 foot tires from the Michelin plant to our company yard. Secure tire loads with straps for safe transport to the Watt & Stewart yard. Help maintain operational efficiency by dropping trailers, unstrapping cargo, and swapping for new loads. Perform daily strap-throwing tasks, which may be required multiple times per shift. Ensure administrative accuracy by signing off on loads and submitting documentation to dispatch. Complete an average of 8-10 loads daily to keep operations moving smoothly. Execute occasional regional trips to Anderson or Trenton as needed. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all securement protocols. Candidate Requirements Possession of a current Class A Commercial Driver's License. At least 2 years of documented experience operating tractor-trailers. Proficiency in driving an 18-speed manual transmission vehicle. Physical capability to frequently manage load securement and strap handling. Demonstrated reliability and a strong focus on completing assigned tasks. Onboarding Process New hires will work alongside a seasoned local driver to receive hands-on guidance. Instruction will cover navigation of local routes and specific Michelin facility protocols. Workplace Standards Steel-toe boots are mandatory. Casual attire like jeans and T-shirts is permitted. Shorts are not allowed on the job. Driving Record Criteria Candidates must have a clean record for the past 7 years regarding any driving incidents involving illegal substances or intoxicating materials, as well as any preventable rollover or fatal accidents. Furthermore, the last 3 years must be clear of any license suspensions related to public safety or substance use, major preventable collisions, and no more than two moving violations. Screening Requirements Completion of a standard 10-panel drug test with passing results. Successful clearance of a 5-year background investigation. No history of DUI convictions. Absence of any felony convictions related to drug offenses.
