Job Purpose Summary:

Responsible for operating a 16' Box Truck or Panel Van while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive commercial vehicles not exceeding 26,000 GVW.
• Responsible for proper loading and securing freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport. Assist in loading and loading as required.
• Willing to load/unload and assist in operations at the terminal as required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs by DOT and company policy.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspections, on-the-road inspections, and post-trip inspections.
• Maneuver and control the vehicle safely, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions, and the ability to drive during the daytime or nighttime.
• Knowledge and adherence to Hours-of-Service regulations, maintaining ELD/paper logs to track and report duty hours.
• Willing to work stand by hours
• Keeping the vehicle's interior and exterior clean and in good condition.
• Safely perform job functions to avoid personal injury and equipment damage
• Maintaining valid licenses and certifications.
• Any additional duties assigned

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
