We're hiring for: Full-Time Operator — Day/Evening Availability Part-Time Operator — Evening Availability This isn't a sit-at-the-lot-and-wait-for-a-paycheck job. We're looking for someone who understands towing, can work independently, takes care of the equipment they're trusted with, and knows how to handle customers professionally — even when the customer is having a really bad day. Our operators handle calls throughout the CSRA, including North Augusta, Aiken, Augusta and surrounding areas, using both self-loader/snatch truck wreckers and flatbed/rollback equipment. What You'll Be Doing As a Tow Truck Operator, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently completing towing, recovery and roadside service calls, including: Operating a self-loader/snatch truck/wrecker Operating a flatbed/rollback tow truck Local vehicle towing and transport Accident and disabled vehicle towing Vehicle recovery and winch-outs Parking lot and difficult-access vehicle retrieval Lockouts Jump starts Tire changes Other roadside assistance calls Properly loading, securing and unloading vehicles Using wheel lifts, straps, chains, dollies and other towing/recovery equipment Completing required call documentation, photos and status updates Communicating with dispatch and customers throughout assigned calls Performing basic pre-trip/post-trip equipment inspections Keeping assigned equipment clean and reporting maintenance or safety concerns immediately You'll work with everyday motorists as well as calls originating through motor clubs, commercial accounts, law enforcement and other roadside/towing partners. Who We're Looking For We don't need someone who has to be babysat through every call. We're looking for an operator who is dependable, mechanically minded, safety-conscious and comfortable making good decisions in the field.
You should be able to:
Safely load and secure vehicles without causing damage Work around traffic and roadside hazards Operate towing equipment confidently Back and maneuver equipment safely in tight spaces Use a smartphone and app-based dispatch system Follow instructions and properly document calls Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement and account representatives Remain calm when dealing with frustrated or stranded customers Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain and other normal roadside conditions Perform the physical duties associated with towing and roadside assistance Show up when you say you're going to show up Previous towing/recovery experience is strongly preferred. Experience with a self-loader, snatch truck, wheel-lift wrecker, rollback or flatbed is a major plus.
Driver Requirements Applicants must:
Have a valid driver's license appropriate for the equipment being operated Have an acceptable driving record Be able to meet applicable insurance requirements Be legally eligible to operate the assigned commercial/towing equipment Meet any applicable

medical or licensing requirements for the equipment and type of operation Be able to safely perform roadside work around moving traffic Be able to pass any required background/MVR screening associated with our company or contracted accounts CDL requirements depend on the GVWR/GCWR and configuration of the equipment being operated. Schedule Full-Time Day/Evening Operator We're looking for someone with dependable availability during daytime and evening operating hours. Exact schedule and on-call expectations will be discussed during the interview. Part-Time Evening Operator Ideal for an experienced operator looking for consistent evening work without a full-time schedule. Towing isn't a 9-to-5 industry. Availability, dependability and communication matter. Nights, weekends and higher-volume periods may be available depending on call volume and scheduling. Compensation Competitive commission-based compensation. Specific compensation structure, schedule expectations and call coverage will be discussed during the interview. This position is best suited for someone who understands that towing income can vary with call volume, availability and completed services.
