Job Description
Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking an OTR Driver to join our team! Role Overview To safely and efficiently drive a tractor-trail between production and distribution facilities. Home every day. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Operates an 80,000 pound tractor and semi-trailer carrying product to pre-determined destinations. Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle will operate safely. Positions trailers at docks for loading and unloading product. Keeps and maintains a driver's log book each day. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. DOT CDL class A License required or must be able to obtain DOT Class A license. Two Years tractor - trailer experience required. Experience positioning trailer at docks for loading and unloading. Able to pass a PBV driving skills test. Ability to work shift in excess of 8 hours Ability to successfully pass DOT physical under guidelines set forth in Federal Motor Carriers Handbook. Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment. (Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.) Average oral and written communication skills.
