Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shredding Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate a commercial mobile shredding truck , service scheduled client locations, and securely destroy confidential documents on-site.

Job Overview Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent Schedule:

Monday to Friday, daytime hours (occasional early morning starts)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly pay

Key Responsibilities Route Execution:

Drive a commercial shredding truck along a daily pre-planned route to visit corporate and residential clients.

Document Collection:

Retrieve locked security bins and consoles containing confidential documents from client buildings.

On-Site Destruction:

Operate the high-powered, automated mobile shredding equipment safely to destroy materials.

Customer Service:

Act as the face of the company, providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to clients.

Security & Compliance:

Strictly adhere to information security protocols, maintain chain of custody, and issue Certificates of Destruction.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Requirements Driver's License:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B or higher preferred) with a clean driving record.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull heavy wheeled bins throughout the day.

Background Check:

Must pass a rigorous criminal background check and drug screening due to the handling of highly sensitive information.

Experience:

Previous experience in route driving, delivery, or secure logistics is a strong plus. Skills Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics and basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues. Solid understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and state transportation requirements for commercial driving. Excellent driving skills with a focus on defensive driving techniques to ensure safety on busy roads. Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual labor associated with waste collection operations.

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
