Job Description

Badger Daylighting is hiring Industrial Operators in Spartanburg, SC to support hydrovac excavation and industrial services for construction and utility customers. In this field-based role, you'll operate hydrovac trucks and related equipment to safely daylight underground utilities, clean industrial infrastructure, and support complex site work. Responsibilities include equipment set-up, safe operation, inspections, basic maintenance, and accurate documentation. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac and industrial equipment to safely expose underground utilities and structures on construction and industrial sites Follow strict safety procedures, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards at all times Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment Set up work areas, hoses, and tooling to support excavation and industrial cleaning tasks Read site instructions and follow direction from supervisors and customers on job scope Complete job paperwork, logs, and safety documentation accurately and on time Communicate clearly with crew members, site supervisors, and customers during field operations Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and reporting needed repairs Participate in ongoing safety, equipment, and procedural training Travel locally to job sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Required Skills Hydrovac truck operation Heavy equipment operation OSHA safety practices Confined space awareness Lockout/tagout familiarity Job site setup and traffic control Basic mechanical/equipment maintenance Reading work orders and site plans Industrial cleaning procedures PPE use and safety documentation
