Yard Jockey & Forklift Operator Location:

Walterboro, SC Position Type:

Full-Time Are you a skilled operator who takes pride in keeping logistics moving smoothly and safely? We're looking for a dependable Yard Mule & Forklift Operator to join our team! If you have hands-on equipment experience, a great eye for detail, and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do Yard & Trailer Operations:

Safely maneuver, hook, unhook, and position yard trailers (24' to 53') into designated parking spots or dock doors.

Forklift & Dock Work:

Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, and stage incoming and outgoing freight. Once trailers are cleared, you'll reload or return empties to designated staging areas.

Shipping & Receiving:

Accurately fill out shipping/receiving reports, verify inventory, and handle materials with care.

Yard Safety & Maintenance:

Keep the yard clean, clear of debris, and hazard-free to protect equipment and ensure smooth operations. What We're Looking For Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down lift experience, specialized attachments like dumpclaws or squeegees a plus!). Experience maneuvering trailers/operating yard trucks in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail for handling shipping/receiving paperwork. strong focus on safety guidelines, speed, and efficiency. High SchoolResponsibilitiesManeuver yard trailers to their designated parking spots or docks, safely hooking and unhooking from trailers, maintaining a clean yard & removing any debris or trash that could be ran over. After parking a trailer into a dock, we work the trailer and once emptied, either refill trailer or park empty trailer in designated spot. Filling out shipping and receiving reports & handling material.
