In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, delivering goods efficiently across various routes, and ensuring timely delivery to our valued customers. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence. Duties Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to safety standards. Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and cargo manifests; complete all required logs and reports diligently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with safety standards for flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated units. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for tractor-trailer operations; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving, freight handling, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries across diverse locations. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for commercial truck driving. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while loading/unloading cargo; experience with logistics cargo handling is a plus. Experience operating refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tankers is advantageous. Strong commitment to safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous goods and compliance with all transportation laws.
