You will play a key role in the efficient and safe movement of materials within our yard, ensuring smooth and timely operations. Your work directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and maintain a productive work environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials. Manage the yard's organization, ensuring efficient space utilization and safe traffic flow. Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking materials and supplies. Handle materials with care, preventing damage and loss. Perform loading and unloading duties, adhering to safety regulations. Comply with all OSHA safety procedures and regulations. Conduct regular vehicle inspections to maintain equipment functionality and safety. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Contribute to a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Minimum of one year of experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment. Experience in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred. Knowledge/Skills Proficient in forklift operation and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices. Understanding of material handling techniques. Familiarity with safety procedures , specifically OSHA regulations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory tracking. Preferred Qualifications Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). Certification in forklift operation. Experience with yard management software. Physical Requirements/Work Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
