Job Description
Elite Executive Partners is hiring a Truck Driver for a well-established manufacturing company in Elk Point, South Dakota. This is a local driving position responsible for moving trailers and materials between three South Dakota manufacturing facilities in Elk Point, Beresford, and Brandon. This is not an over-the-road trucking position. The ideal candidate is a safe, dependable, and experienced Class A CDL driver who can work independently, meet delivery schedules, and communicate effectively with facility and logistics teams. Position and Benefits Position based in Elk Point, South Dakota Local travel between Elk Point, Beresford, and Brandon Shag driving position—not over-the-road trucking Pay based on experience Full-time position Must be available to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed Benefits available, including health, vision, and dental insurance, PTO, life insurance, retirement, EAP, HSA, and more What You'll Do Safely transport trailers, materials, and cargo between the Elk Point, Beresford, and Brandon facilities Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading positions Load and unload cargo as needed Meet scheduled pickup and delivery times Record cargo deliveries and maintain accurate driving documentation Document work and rest periods, mileage, and required receipts Inspect, refuel, and clean the assigned vehicle Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical problems Report road incidents and follow established accident procedures Properly secure cargo and follow applicable tie-down requirements Follow regulations related to vehicle size, weight, designated routes, parking, and break periods Adjust to unexpected traffic, weather, and operating conditions Communicate clearly and professionally with logistics, manufacturing, and facility teams Work safely and effectively with minimal supervision Required Qualifications — All Requirements Are a MUST High school diploma or equivalent Valid and current Class A CDL Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a similar driving role Must pass a drug and alcohol test according to DOT guidelines Must provide a current medical certificate No serious moving violations within the last 3 years No DUI or DWI convictions within the last 5 years Strong listening and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed Applicants must meet all required qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred Experience Experience transporting oversized loads Knowledge of cargo securement and tie-down requirements Previous shag driving, yard driving, or local facility-to-facility transportation experience Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Physical Requirements Ability to bend, crouch, twist, and pull Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at times Ability to sit in a truck for extended periods Ability to frequently enter and exit the truck This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced truck driver who wants a local position without over-the-road travel.
