Duties Safely operare hotshots on OTR routes while ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries across extensive distances. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling logistics cargo with care to prevent damage or accidents. Secure loads properly during transit, ensuring compliance with truck loading/unloading procedures. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for each trip. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Requirements Proven experience in truck driving, particularly in over-the-road (OTR) routes involving freight transportation. Valid driver's license or (CDL). Familiarity flatbeds. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT and regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Experience in manual handling techniques for load & unload operations; ability to handle logistics cargo handling efficiently. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; route planning experience is a plus. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety; ability to adhere strictly to DOT regulations during all phases of transport.
