Drive predetermined routes while following traffic laws, traffic signs, and safety guidelines to ensure timely collection. Conduct routine inspections of the garbage truck's mechanical components, including air brakes and manual transmission systems, to maintain optimal performance. Collect waste from residential, commercial, or municipal sites with a focus on customer service excellence by interacting professionally with clients. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous or special waste materials when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads collected, and any incidents or mechanical issues encountered during shifts. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for air brake operation and manual transmission preferred. Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks in municipal waste management or similar outdoor environments. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and solid waste management practices.
