Job Description

    CDL Class A Truck Driver
  • Job Summary
  • Savage Lumber Company is seeking a dedicated CDL Class A truck driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting lumber and logs over short and occasionally long distances while operating a tractor-trailer, with flatbed trailer, and or log trailers. As a truck driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the safety of the cargo. Drivers are home daily.
  • Responsibilities Include
  • Operating and driving various types of trucks including tractor-trailers.
A semi with various types of trailers. Delivering lumber to vendors to include loading and securing. Reading and maintaining paperwork and ensuring accuracy of the load. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Following company, D.O.T. and traffic regulations. Follow specific routes and schedules for deliveries. Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Qualifications
  • Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Current valid health card Ability to drive in a range of weather and job-site conditions Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role. Previous lumber log hauling experience preferred but not required Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills. Must pass a drug test
