Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. The Driver will operate various vehicles, including vans and trucks, and may also be required to perform warehouse duties as needed. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations. Perform route driving, following planned routes while being adaptable to changes as necessary. Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring all items are secured properly for transport. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and any required documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organization of goods. Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed (certification may be required). Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the day. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is beneficial.
