This role offers the opportunity to operate modern tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes with the convenience of being home daily. You'll be responsible for safely hauling freight, including flatbed loads, across various routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including flatbed trucks, on assigned routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight manually or with appropriate equipment, handling logistics cargo with care and precision Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Secure loads properly on flatbeds, ensuring adherence to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, maintaining safety standards and reporting any mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers or tanker loads Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, hazard materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments Ability to manually handle freight loading/unloading and secure cargo on flatbeds or tanker trucks Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for commercial driving Skilled in route driving, delivery driving, and managing logistics cargo handling efficiently Experience with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer operations is preferred This role offers an energetic environment where your driving expertise directly contributes to our operational success.
