Starting salary bsed on level of experience. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across designated routes in middle Tennessee. Load and unload freight using forklift and off-road piggyback forklifts ensuring cargo is secured properly in compliance with company standards. Delivering to construction sites. Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly. Load and unload cargo accurately, verifying shipment contents against delivery documentation. Adhere strictly to FMCSA, DOT, regulations during all phases of transport. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo handling activities, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory standards. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Demonstrated ability to operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission in various driving environments. Experience handling freight such as flatbed loads. Forklift experience preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations is highly desirable. Prior delivery driving experience involving load & unload procedures and logistics cargo handling is advantageous. Ability to comply with safety protocols related to goods transportation and truck loading/unloading procedures.
