This role is a critical role to the clients served to ensure clean linens to hospital patients throughout the Nashville area. This role will drop off clean linens in bins, and pick up soiled linens. Usually 3-4 routes per day. This is a day shift position and runs from start time to finish of routes and the average day is 8-9 hours and up to 11 hours depending on speed and efficiency as well as number of routes. . m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday (With Rotating Saturdays)

MUST HAVES
Clean driving record, good work history, ability to operate a 33 ft box truck, CLASS B CDL, ability to navigate routes, flexibility and adaptability, ability to manage work logs, manage client relationships in a professional manner, reliability and dependability , and alignment with dress code and other policies.
NOTES:
This route potentially goes further out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Tullahoma, Shelbyville, DeKalb and Woodbury) and Tuesday and Thursday are closer into the Nashville area. This is not a bump and go type of run
- you will be responsible for loading and unloading. There will be customer interaction
- strong customer service skills are a must.
POSITION SUMMARY
Transport both clean and unclean linen to/from customer sites, loading and unloading carts of linen at each site. Linen carts can be hard to maneuver and weigh up to 600 pounds each. Delivers clean linen to the area Hospitals, pick up soiled lined and deliver back to work hub. Responsibilities may include transporting several truckloads per shift. Truckloads vary and may have from 15 to 21 carts per truckload.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Safely drive and operate a commercial box truck with lift gate to load and unload the truck Ability to safely load and unload linen carts from commercial box truck Use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling soiled linen Safely operate a lift gate Count and inspect carts to ensure they match the delivery manifest and are presentable for delivery to the Hospital Ability to enter appropriate cart information into computer system Communicate with the Driver Supervisor on customer questions and/or issues Ability to maintain a Truck Drivers Log. Prepare driver notes as needed on driver's log Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside) Regular attendance and punctuality required
QUALIFICATION AND BASIC SKILLS
Valid Class B CDL with Current Medical Card and clean driving record Ability to comply with DOT standards Clean driving record Able to navigate through city, interstate, and small roadways. Have the ability to operate a 33-foot box truck using clutch, lift gate and air brakes Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate with customers (doctors, nurses, etc.) to determine linen needs Ability to quickly learn various delivery routes which may change throughout the workweek. Able to navigate through city and small roadways. Ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time, able to push and pull carts weighing in excess of 600 lbs., carry up to 50 lb. totes Ability to work non-standard work environment either hot or cold. Count and inspect load to ensure an exact match with the delivery manifest and is presentable for delivery to the appropriate venue. Maintain a neat clean appearance when dealing with customers, strictly abide by driver dress code.
