Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and other freight efficiently and securely across various over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle diverse cargo will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement according to logistics cargo handling standards. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules across over-the-road driving routes. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate route planning, delivery schedules, and load management for efficient operations. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks. Knowledge of
FMCSA, DOT
regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy. Ability to load & unload freight manually or using truck loading equipment while adhering to safety standards. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation is a plus. Strong manual handling skills combined with excellent driving abilities under various conditions.
