Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Volumetric Truck Driver/Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized commercial trucks equipped with volumetric mixers to deliver and pour concrete, asphalt, and other paving materials accurately and efficiently across various civil infrastructure projects. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, adherence to safety regulations, and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth project execution from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to large-scale construction projects while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with volumetric mixers, ensuring precise delivery of concrete, asphalt, or other materials according to project specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical checks on trucks and paving equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist in the setup and operation of paving equipment such as screeds, concrete pumps, and rebar installation tools on construction sites. Follow all safety protocols, including DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate material deliveries and ensure timely completion of paving tasks. Perform basic math calculations for measuring quantities, mixing ratios, and load capacities as required during operations. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, equipment maintenance records, and safety inspections for accountability and compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating commercial vehicles, particularly trucks with volumetric mixers or similar heavy equipment in a construction setting. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with asphalt paving processes, concrete pouring, screed operation, concrete forming, and concrete pumping techniques. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations, including OSHA standards and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Ability to perform basic math accurately for measurement calculations related to material loads and mixing ratios. Strong understanding of working on civil infrastructure projects involving rebar installation, loader operation, and other heavy machinery tasks. Excellent safety protocol adherence skills combined with a proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation.
