Job Description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Responsible for supervision of route drivers; able to run routes out of dock or plant; notifies drivers of special instructions. Checks customer route tickets each week ensuring proper service to customers; able to service customer complaints until Customer Service Representative can make contact. Responsible for cleanliness and proper operation of dock and equipment; keeps grounds clean and clear of damaged containers. Operates assigned company vehicle and maintains cleanliness; reports any mechanical or operational problems to vehicle supervisor immediately; may be required to maintain DOT logbook. Maintains quality customer service by being professional and courteous at all times. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of two years of driving experience. Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR). Working knowledge of general vehicle maintenance. Basic computer proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Prior supervisory and route driving experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Basic mathematical skills. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Frequently requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching. Frequently requires lifting up to 10lbs. and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or moving up to 100lbs. Frequent travel to off-site locations is required. Work is performed in company vehicles, plant/dock locations, and outdoor environments. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and others and identify potential workplace hazards.
