Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in manual transmission driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper securing methods. Deliver a wide range of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized cargo to multiple destinations on scheduled routes. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transit. Assist with loading, securing, and unloading freight as needed to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks is highly preferred. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling. Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo. Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy freight, climbing in/out of trucks, and performing inspections.
