Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Fuel Transport Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting fuel and related materials to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in truck driving and route management will be vital in supporting our operations and serving our customers efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and customer satisfaction are paramount. Responsibilities Safely operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles. Load and unload fuel shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records for regulatory purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols when handling hazardous materials like fuel or other freight types such as refrigerated goods or chemicals. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for transporting fuel or hazardous materials. Hazmat & Tanker endorsement (X) a must. TWIC card. 2 years experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers. Experience in route driving, load & unload procedures, and delivery driver roles is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and performing vehicle inspections regularly. Knowledge of safety regulations related to transporting hazardous materials such as fuel or chemicals.
