The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle different types of trucks, including, tractor-trailers and flatbeds Duties Operate and drive various types of trucks, ensuring safe transportation of goods. ( must be able to drive a standard 10 speed) Perform route driving as assigned, adhering to schedules and delivery timelines. Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety for yourself and others. Skills Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles. Experience with route driving in various conditions. Familiarity with different trailer types including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbed, and step deck trailers. Strong commercial driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Ability to secure, load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and log maintenance.
