The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and have experience with different trailer types and driving environments. A strong focus on safety, load management, and customer service is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Manage route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safe driving practices Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road Skills Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record Experience operating manual transmission trucks Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery and route driving efficiency Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards Excellent navigation skills for route planning and execution Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and manage freight securely during transit Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and customers This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices and efficient freight handling.
