Job Description

Home every night. Weekly pay. Discounted housing available if you're relocating. Texas Gulf Recycling runs roll-off containers out of Boling for construction sites, businesses and homeowners across Wharton, Matagorda, Brazoria and Fort Bend counties. It's local work. You're not sleeping in a truck stop

  • you're home for supper.

We're a family-run company, not a call center in another state. You will know the owner's name.

WHAT YOU'LL MAKE
  • $24•28 an hour depending on experience, paid weekly•50-60 hours most weeks, overtime after 40, some Saturdays•Most drivers gross $1,300•1,700 a week•Paid training•you get paid while you learn our trucks and our routes HOUSING•READ

We own rental cottages nearby, and we make them available to our drivers at a discounted rate. If the thing standing between you and a better job has been "where would I even live out there?"

You have somewhere to land on day one. Ask about it on the phone call. [what's available, roughly what it costs, how soon]

YOUR DAY
  • Deliver, swap and pick up roll-off containers at customer sites
  • Pre-trip and post-trip your truck, and tell us straight when something's wrong
  • Tarp every loaded container before you roll
  • Know the difference between MSW, C&D and clean commodities, and call the scale house when you're not sure
  • Keep your logs right
  • Basic maintenance on your own truck
  • we have a diesel mechanic on site for anything past that
  • Treat the customer well.

A lot of them have our cell numbers.

WHAT YOU NEED
  • Valid Texas CDL
  • Class B is enough for most of our fleet. Class A opens up more equipment and more money.
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Comfortable in a automatic transmission
  • A driving record we can work with. We look at the whole picture
  • one old ticket is not going to end the conversation.
  • Able to pass a DOT drug screen
  • Willing to work outside in Gulf Coast heat.
