BVR Waste & Recycling is hiring a dependable, safety-focused CDL Automated Side Load (ASL) Driver to join our operations team in Brenham, Texas . This full-time position is responsible for collecting residential trash and recycling along assigned local routes using an Automated Side Load collection truck. You'll enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, year-round work, and the ability to be home every night . What You'll Do Safely operate an Automated Side Load (ASL) waste collection truck. Collect residential trash and recycling along assigned routes. Navigate residential neighborhoods safely while remaining aware of pedestrians, vehicles, pets, mailboxes, and other property. Complete assigned routes safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Complete DOT and company-required documentation accurately. Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures. Report maintenance concerns, accidents, safety issues, and route concerns promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members. Provide professional, courteous service while representing BVR Waste & Recycling in the community. Assist with additional operational duties as needed. Required Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Acceptable driving record. Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle in residential neighborhoods. Strong commitment to safe driving and workplace safety. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and stay on schedule. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to meet all applicable DOT driver qualification requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous Automated Side Load (ASL) driving experience. Previous waste, recycling, sanitation, or residential collection experience. Experience operating commercial vehicles on residential collection routes. Working knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle compliance. Climb in and out of the truck as required throughout the workday. Perform occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and other physical tasks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and equipment checks. Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions.
