We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious professional to join our team as a CDL Class A driver, tasked with moving equipment and materials to various construction locations. You will manage a flatbed tractor-trailer, ensuring all cargo is secured properly while maintaining strict adherence to company and DOT regulations. Core Responsibilities Drive a flatbed tractor-trailer to deliver structural components, equipment, and materials to project locations. Ensure cargo is loaded, tarped, and secured to help maintain a safe environment for all personnel on the road and at sites. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks as mandated by FMCSA guidelines. Keep precise records of ELD logs, delivery paperwork, and inspection reports. Navigate through active construction zones while helping to maintain site safety and traffic control protocols. Follow all established company, DOT, and FMCSA safety guidelines. Work alongside site personnel and project managers to organize delivery timelines. Communicate any mechanical problems, safety hazards, or schedule changes immediately. Assist with site or yard logistics tasks during downtime between deliveries. Act as a professional representative of our organization whenever you are on-site. Required Qualifications Possess a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving history. Hold an active DOT medical certificate. Show a deep understanding of FMCSA and DOT rules. Bring hands-on experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques. Maintain a high level of detail and safety awareness to help prevent workplace incidents. Demonstrate consistent attendance and personal accountability. Work effectively on your own while maintaining strong collaboration with field crews. Display professional documentation and communication abilities. Show flexibility regarding your schedule to meet changing project needs. Education and Experience Class A CDL license. Active DOT medical card. Legal authorization to work within the U.S. Ability to clear a drug screen and participate in ongoing DOT testing programs. Minimum of two years of experience driving flatbed trucks. Background in transporting materials to active construction environments. Proven ability to secure heavy equipment, steel, or structural items. TWIC card is considered a plus.
