Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License A Hotshot Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering time-sensitive loads efficiently and securely using a box truck or similar vehicle, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety and traffic regulations. Duties Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver goods promptly across designated routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking lights, brakes, tires, and load security to maintain safety standards. Communicate effectively using mobile devices to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or update route information in real-time. Assist with warehouse operations by moving materials within the facility as needed, including manual handling and heavy lifting tasks. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent shifting during transit; unload deliveries at customer locations with care and professionalism. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company positively during delivery interactions, addressing customer inquiries professionally, and ensuring a positive experience. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record and experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route planning and adherence to traffic regulations. Warehouse experience including manual handling, moving goods, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial trucking and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to perform safe lifting practices involving heavy loads and manual handling techniques. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and record keeping during deliveries. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions with clients and team members.
