Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving with experience in operating heavy equipment and transporting the heavy equipment on lowboy trailers. This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight to our customers while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Duties Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Tarp, strap and secure all loads as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Handle various types of freight, including but not limited to aggregates, flatbed loads, and heavy equipment. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Experience with different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, equipment trailers is mandatory. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is a plus. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in the trucking industry. Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
