Come join a growing company! We are seeking a qualified full-time candidate to be a Driver/Trash & Recycling Collector. NO CDL required. Looking for a candidate with the right attitude, experience, and skill set to be trained to drive rural routes stopping at approximately 150 houses per day to collect trash and recycling materials from residential customers. Starting compensation while training in the Driver/Trash collector role is $17.00 per hour. For the proven candidate in the Driver/Trash & Recycling Collector role, increase in compensation is rewarded accordingly and timely based on proven job performance. The right candidate for this position will need to be dependable, have a strong work ethic, must be self-motivated and able to work independently while remaining detail oriented. Must possess the ability to work well with others, take direction from managers, and communicate effectively with all team members ensuring the job gets done. MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS.
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE DRIVING TRUCKS AND TRAILERS IS A PLUS BUT NOT MANDATORY. NO CDL IS REQUIRED.
Candidate must have a smart phone and dependable transportation to get to and from work. Must be physically fit and be able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE
driving company trucks and trailers on daily routes while also collecting trash and recycling materials from residential customers for up to approximately 150 customers daily. Candidate will be required to learn various trash routes, work independently while working outdoors in various weather conditions, and be able to change tires or fix flats when needed. Candidate will be required to perform vehicle inspections before, during, and after job duties are completed. Candidate will work with managers to complete any shop duties needed before completion of each workday.
OTHER DUTIES
Driving routes alone while collecting trash and recycling for up to 150 rural customers daily. Offloading materials at landfill. Loading/Unloading trailers and driving larger trucks with larger trailers. Perform preventative maintenance of equipment, trailers, vehicles, and tires. Fixing flats and changing tires when needed.
