Responsibilities Safely operate different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, Lowboy/RGN, and Landoll trailers to transport freight across designated routes Must have 2 years minimum experience hauling oversized construction equipment Must have 2 years of experience with oversized permits Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts when necessary Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and route records for each trip Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving to prevent accidents and ensure timely deliveries Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or vehicle issues Assist with securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years of experience with DOT oversized permits 2 years of experience hauling oversized construction equipment Live in the San Antonio, Texas area Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized equipment such as forklifts when needed Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transportation Ability to perform load & unload equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and dispatchers Embark on a rewarding journey where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
