Clean Harbors is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using tankers and related equipment. In this role, you will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, operate vacuum and pumping systems, and ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of materials. You'll follow strict DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations while completing accurate manifests and logs. Working closely with field technicians and dispatch, you'll respond to scheduled and emergency projects, maintaining a strong safety record and protecting clients and the environment. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles with tanker to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and document findings Operate pumps, vacuum systems, and related field equipment for loading and offloading Handle, label, and secure hazardous materials in compliance with DOT and environmental regulations Complete manifests, logs, and other required transportation and disposal documentation Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and field teams on routes and schedules Respond to planned and emergency field service and environmental cleanup projects Maintain a strong safety record and follow all company, OSHA, and DOT policies Communicate equipment or safety issues promptly for timely maintenance and repair Provide professional customer service at client sites while representing Clean Harbors Required Skills Class A CDL driving Tanker operation Hazmat handling Vehicle inspection DOT compliance OSHA safety practices Equipment operation (pumps/vacuum) Load securement Documentation and manifests Emergency response support
