Duties Safely operate tanker trucks, or tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes to transport fuel and hazardous materials. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency. Load and unload fuel Follow all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to maintain compliance during transportation. Deliver fuel and hazardous goods to designated locations, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to dangerous goods regulations. Conduct post-trip inspections of vehicles Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or tanker trucks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker operations. Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard handling procedures, and safety standards for dangerous goods. Experience operating tanker preferred. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles (18 speed) and perform manual handling tasks safely. Strong navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in truck loading/unloading processes.
