Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our supply chain operations, delivering goods efficiently and professionally to our customers. A strong focus on safety, precision, and customer service is essential for success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across designated routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, load security, and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in line with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and confidently. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience handling logistics cargo handling tasks such as load securing and trailer inspections.
