Job Title:
Auger Truck/Delivery Driver Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Auger Truck Driver to join our team. As a vital part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for moving products to and from our stores as well as directly to our customers. This role also requires a high level of customer service as you will be interacting with customers quite often while making deliveries. Our business is based in Agriculture and wildlife, so someone with a passion and knowledge of those things is preferred.
Duties:
- Operate a variety of vehicles, including bulk feed trucks and trailers, tractor-trailers, flatbeds and forklifts, as required
- Load and unload products (feed, hay, seed, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, customer service, and communication
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods
- Utilize a variety of software and technology to navigate routes, and manage schedules
- Perform other duties as required by management
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience operating heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers and other specialized vehicles
- Experience with running hydraulic bulk feed trailers like a paddle wagon or auger truck preferred
- Familiarity with hauling any sort of hay and or other flatbed freight
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required
Requirements:
- Must have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Must be able to operate a standard transmission. Cannot have an automatic transmission restriction
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination, background check and DOT drug testing
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have physical capability to climb ladders and other objects the job may require
- Basic mechanical understanding and knowledge is preferred
