(IR). IHRT manages trucking operations which include the company driver (CODR) division, the logistics division (IHRL) and the over the road (OTR) division which are all based in Houston, TX and the Rio Valley Intermodal Ramp drayage division based in Donna, Texas. IHRT employee's report directly to the Director of Trucking Operations unless otherwise informed. IR is family owned and financially strong. IR is a quickly growing, but conservatively managed company based in O'Fallon, Illinois. IR owns several short-line railroads located in New Mexico, Texas, and Tennessee. IR also owns trans-loading facilities in Santa Teresa, NM, McAllen, TX and Donna, TX. Details pertaining to IR's service offerings can be reviewed at www.ironhorseresources.com Class A Truck Driver Recruiter We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Class A Truck Driver Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of recruiting and hiring qualified CDL-A truck drivers (company drivers and owner operators) and understands what it takes to attract, qualify, and retain professional drivers in today's competitive trucking market. This position will be responsible for managing the driver recruiting process from initial contact through qualification, assisting with onboarding, and hiring. The successful candidate will be comfortable making a high volume of calls, following up consistently with applicants and leads, and developing effective recruiting strategies to keep our trucks staffed with qualified drivers. Key Responsibilities Recruit qualified Class A CDL drivers through job boards, social media, recruiting platforms, referrals, and other sources. Respond quickly to driver applicants and leads and maintain consistent follow-up. Pre-screen candidates for CDL experience, driving history, qualifications, availability, and company requirements. Conduct phone interviews and determine whether candidates are a good fit for available positions. Clearly explain company pay, benefits, equipment, lanes, home-time expectations, and job requirements to prospective drivers. Manage candidates through Tenstreet program during the recruiting and hiring process, including applications, background checks, MVRs, drug testing, and required documentation. Maintain accurate records of applicants and recruiting activity Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified CDL-A drivers. Develop and maintain driver referral and recruiting sources. Work closely with operations and management to understand current driver needs and hiring priorities. Follow up with candidates throughout the onboarding process to minimize drop-off. Track recruiting activity and results, including leads, applications, qualified candidates, hires, and retention. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and increase the number of qualified drivers hired. What We're Looking For Proven experience recruiting Class A CDL truck drivers. Demonstrated success consistently generating qualified driver candidates and hires. Strong understanding of the trucking industry and CDL driver qualifications. Excellent phone, communication, and follow-up skills. Highly organized and able to manage multiple candidates at different stages of the recruiting process. Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable recruiting goals. Experience with recruiting software, applicant tracking systems, job boards, and driver recruiting platforms is a plus. Success in This Role The right person will be measured by results , including the ability to consistently generate qualified CDL-A applicants, convert applicants into hires, keep candidates engaged through onboarding, and help maintain the company's driver staffing needs.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
