Job Description
Heavy Highway Construction company in South Texas is hiring experienced truck drivers. We have road construction projects all over the Rio Grande Valley. Job Description Drive a heavy-duty diesel powered truck to which is attached a trailer upon which heavy equipment is hauled in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Will be transporting equipment to and from job sites. Essential Job Functions and Requirements
- Commercial Driver License with good driving record required.
- Tanker and/or hazmat endorsements preferred.
- Driver is often required to operate heavy equipment to load or unload the lowboy.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of the truck.
- Must have knowledge of applicable DOT rules and regulations.
- Operate all commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Advise the supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Practice workplace safety.
- Performs other related duties.
