Job Description
Heavy Highway Construction company in South Texas is hiring experienced truck drivers. We have road construction projects all over the Rio Grande Valley. Job Description Drive a commercial vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Drives a truck which carries various fuels, oils, greases and filters. Must have knowledge of and is responsible for the correct oiling and greasing and changing of filters on equipment according to manufacturers' specifications. Uses compressed air grease guns, wrenches and other tools. May make adjustments to clutches, brakes and other mechanical items. Keep record of service for preventive maintenance records. May have laborer assisting him. Essential Job Functions and Requirements Commercial Driver License with good driving record required. Tanker and hazmat endorsements required. Has at least 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle with their CDL. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of the truck. Must have knowledge of applicable DOT rules and regulations. Operate all commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Advise their Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs. Work with minimal supervision. Practice workplace safety. Performs other related duties. Full-time position. Company offers benefits, 401(K) plan and paid time off.
