Summary Assists upper-level truck drivers while learning load security, truck maintenance and how to drive truck and trailer combinations to transport pipes, equipment and miscellaneous objects by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Provides daily assistance to upper level truck drivers with load securements, ground guiding and truck and trailer maintenance. 2. Reviews and consistently adheres to company standard operation procedures and safety guidelines to ensure performance standards are met. 3. Learns to operate flat bed and low boy trailers and continually improves upon learned skills. 4. Studies compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, Job Safety Analysis forms (JSAs), and pre-trip/post-trip procedures and works towards remaining in compliance.
